Punta la Barca is a unique local+travelers’ community at the ecuadorian coast. We organize coliving, coworking and activities. Think daily local breakfast, shared cooking together dinners, bonfires, breathtaking work and relax areas, weekly flow&focus circles, participative events, surf, kitesurf, artesanias, desert mountains, tropical forest and ancient cultures.
We are situated in the tranquil fishing village of Santa Marianita amidst deserted beaches. With panoramic Pacific views, wind for kitesurfing and waves for surfing, we embrace the simple life.
The rooms in the coliving
In the coliving accommodation there is place for a maximum 17 people. We love the mix of an organic community of both solo travelers, couples, travelers with kids and locals. You can stay either in a private house or in rooms. Accommodation is comfortable and basic. There are lots of wonderful shared spaces, with a fully equipped shared kitchen, warm showers, beachfield, and both inside, semi-outside and outside relax & work areas. We’re a minute walk from the beach.
Sustainability at Punta La Barca
Punta la Barca breathes freedom, equity and sustainability in everything we decide and do. Examples are: bamboo-based building, regenerative kids’ education programs, water reuse, solar panels, community practices, garden, vegetarian ingredients provided, self-directed education for kids.
