Hostal La Pijaraña in Salento
The locally-owned Hostal La Pijaraña is great for any traveler visiting the beautiful town of Salento in Colombia. It is located within walking distance from the center of town, in a lush garden. You will be surrounded by nature and hummingbirds here!
The style of the guesthouse is very local and fits in perfectly with the rest of Salento architecture. We have a kitchen, a bar, and tables to sit and work on, as well as inside and outside. Besides that, we also have an area with hammocks to chill, a BBQ, and a campfire place in our garden. Finally, our wifi is strong enough for digital nomads and we tend to attract very cool people that are a bit older than the general backpacker.

Our rooms are comfortable and private, with a shared bathroom. You can choose between a cabaña in the garden, or a double room in the main area.
Sustainability in La Pijaraña
The building style of hostal La Pijaraña is exactly how the locals would build it. After all, it is entirely owned by local Colombians from Salento. We refill all our shampoo and soap dispensers and have only local staff. In addition to that, we serve breakfast with ingredients from Salento and don’t use single plastic for our groceries. We also have water available to refill your bottle.
We can help you organize tours to Valle de Cocora and local, organic coffee farms, plus other responsible activities.
