This camper is parked on private property with no one around you and has an amazing view of the Sea of Cortez. Casita Libelle in La Ventana has been completely renovated in 2022 and feels like a home away from home. The owner Yvette (and the founder of this website!) put a lot of detail into making the space feel nice. It is off-grid and powered by solar panels, so please be mindful of electricity. The camper has an outdoor space with a shade structure and a seating area. You can also use the fire pit and there is plenty of parking.
Casita Libelle is a great way to connect with nature and be away from everyone, but still close enough to all the nice things in La Ventana and El Sargento. Experience the desert with minimal impact and enjoy the peace of this area.
Since this tiny home was a motorhome before, so there is just one bedroom with a queen size bed, a bathroom with a toilet, and a shower with hot water. The living area consists of a couch, a dining table with seating, and a small kitchen with a propane fridge. Because the camper is off-grid, there is no AC and you cannot use heavy appliances like hair dryers. But there is WIFI and an inverter to power up your devices.
We ask you to be prepared for living off-grid and in a camper, so please turn the electricity off at night and be mindful of water use.
The owner Yvette renovated this RV with as many as possible second-hand items and repurposed old materials. A lot of the decoration was accumulated from her journey around the world. The camper is completely solar-powered, and the desert land around it has been kept intact as much as possible.
There are no plants on the land here that need (precious) watering, and everything works in close contact with nature.
